But a massive scale war in the east could also be fun!Īlso as a side note, I was pleasantly surprised to discover Rome are still in the game and they control most of Italy and possibly parts of Africa.Ĭonsolidate Suebia and take that north-eastern settlement (Mons something they'll declare war on you after assaulting the settlement between you two). I'm hoping Egypt don't turn on me and we can all push west together. Not fully sure what's next aside from wiping out the Galatians and Cimmeria. The Selucids, Cappadocia, Galatia, Armenia, Rhodos, The Odrysian Kingdom and Cimmeria have all grown to fairly big sizes before collapsing completely so that they're all either wiped out (Selucids, Cappadocia, Armenia, Odrysian Kingdom), only have one region left (Rhodos and Galataia) or are in the process of having their empire torn apart (Cimmeria). And am also pretty friendly with Egypt who control most of the Middle East and are pushing up through Armenia taking out the Cimmerians in a steam roll (I'm friendly with them, but I'm also terrified of them, they're huge!).Īside from my own trials and tribulations it's been interesting to watch the rise and fall of the other factions around me. I then slowly rebuilt my armies and economy on the islands before joining with Pergamon and their new client state, Rhodos to take on the Galatians and grabbing most of Turkey back for myself.Ĭurrently I'm 100 turns in and hold most of Turkey (including my old capital) as well as Rhodes and Crete, and am allies with Pergamon, Rhodos, Athens and Sparta (The first two control the west and Northwestern coast of Turkey whilst the latter two control all of Greece, the Balkans and Dacia). To survive I basically had to abandon my starting cities and punch a hole through Armenian held Cappadocia taking the southern coast of Turkey from Rhodos (Tarsus + Side) before taking Rhodos and Knossos' islands and losing Tarsus and Side. And holy shit! The first 100 turns were exciting as hell, the ups and downs of strong alliances and betrayals has me hooked.Įarly on I allied myself with the Selucids and Cappadocians as they were both growing, but they both ended up getting taken out and I quickly found myself at war with the Galatians, Tylis, Rhodos, Knossos, Armenia and Cimmeria (Who were my allies and had a 'reliable' reputation before betraying me at my weakest moment, they'll pay yet!) and was getting worn down by all of their combined agents, I couldn't train troops or repair buildings fast enough to cope. I haven't really played much since launch, but recently started a game with Pontus. Think we missed one? Give us a Modmail and suggest new Subreddits to add to the lists!
